H.E. Mr. Alberto van Klaveren, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Chile paid an official visit to India from 27 to 29 August 2024.
During his visit, the 2nd India-Chile Joint Commission Meeting was held on August 28, co-chaired by Dr. S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India, and H.E. Mr. Alberto van Klaveren.
Minister Klaveren was participated, along with his Agriculture Minister, H.E. Mr. Esteban Valenzuela in Chile-India Business (Agriculture) Summit, on 28 August, and later proceeds to Mumbai.
Chile is a key partner of India in the Latin American region. The forthcoming visit of Minister Klaveren was provided both sides an opportunity to review the progress in bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation, further strengthening bilateral ties.
