In the framework of our Cultural Diplomacy Strategy, this year, the Embassy of El Salvador accredited in India held an event with the objective of promoting our Hispanic- American culture, our gastronomy and Salvadoran literature.

The event took place at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute, as part of “Día E” in honour of the Spanish language, and “International Book Day”, where various activities took place, including an exhibition of tourist material from El Salvador, indigo-dyed textiles, handicrafts and books by Salvadoran authors.

Likewise, tourist videos were projected and different typical dishes were shared with the public, most of whom were Spanish language students, who were introduced to our culture and the beauties of our country.

In addition, didactic and cultural activities and games were carried out with the students; after that, videos were shown of each Latin American embassy explaining the meaning and use of a term from each country, as part of the richness of the Spanish language.

The activity attracted many visitors, who showed great interest in our stand, and at the same time aroused their curiosity to know a little more about our country.
