External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Austrian Foreign Minister Ms. Beate Meinl-Reisinger in New Delhi on October 28, 2026.
During the meeting, the two Ministers reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations. Discussions focused on progress across key sectors including political exchanges, trade and investment, innovation and technology, education, mobility, defence and security and people-to-people exchanges. They also exchanged views on global and regional issues of importance and agreed for close cooperation in multilateral fora, including the United Nations.
India and Austria share friendly and multi-faceted ties. The visit of Foreign Minister of Austria following the recent visit of the Federal Chancellor of Austria reflects the shared desire to further strengthen the Enhanced India-Austria Partnership.
