On behalf of the High Commission of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in New Delhi, I am pleased to extend warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Guyanese on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of our independence.
As we celebrate this significant milestone, it is with a great sense of pride that we extol the virtues of our people’s historic struggle for self-determination, and their collective commitment to fashion our own future, and to shape our own destiny.
On this 58th anniversary of our independence, as Guyana is firmly on the path of unprecedented growth and prosperity, let us recommit to pledging ourselves to each other and to the cause of our collective economic and social development.
Our national day also provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on the long-standing relation between Guyana and India. Our bilateral ties have matured over the years encompassing various areas of cooperation and collaboration, which have abounded to mutual benefits to our two countries. It is our hope that these ties will be further strengthened in the coming years.
This special collectible edition on Guyana will serve as a catalyst to further deepen relations and increase awareness by highlighting the achievements of our diplomatic ties, the myriad of opportunities available for investment and trade and showcasing Guyana’s unique tourism products, culture and cuisine.
We express our sincere appreciation to the Envoy Excellency team, for their support and coverage in highlighting the strong bonds of friendship between Guyana and India and for your dedicated efforts to promote diplomacy and cooperation on the international stage.
