We are deeply obliged to the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, H.E. Syed Muazzem Ali, for giving us an exclusive Interview.

The relationship between India and Bangladesh is anchored in history, culture, language and shared values of secularism, democracy, and countless other commonalities between the two countries. It is based on sovereignty, equality, trust, understanding and win-win partnership that goes far beyond a strategic partnership.

Bangladesh is a nation endowed with enormous potential that is yet to be realized. The year 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of independence. In recognition of the long –term development challenges, the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina adopted the Vision 2021.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized the need to undertake actions to advance women’s empowerment, including working to overcome gender stereotypes regarding women’s abilities.

The youth of Bangladesh have been playing a significant role in national development. From the war of independence in 1971 to all the democratic and social movements in the post-independence era, the youth were always at the helm.

An ‘e-village’ project has been launched in Bangladesh to boost agriculture production using technology.

Bangladesh offers an unparalleled investment climate compared to the other South Asian economies. Bangladesh is endowed with abundant supply of natural gas, water and its soil is very fertile.

The textile and clothing industries provide the one of the major sources of growth in Bangladesh’s rapidly developing economy. As of 2016 Bangladesh held the 2nd place in producing garments just after China. Bangladesh is the world’s second-largest apparel exporter of western (fast) fashion brands.

Bangladesh is a “Land of Stories”. Everything of this land tells a story; a story of Bangladeshi people and their heart. On the tourism side- Explore- Somapura Mahavihara, Bogakain Lake, The Sundarbans, St. Martin’s Island, Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.
