VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. was established in 1967 by the VST Group of companies. With a legacy of more than 53 years, VST continues to drive farm mechanisation and empowerment of farmers. VST is the largest Indian manufacturer of power tillers and 4WD compact tractors, and amongst the leading producers of other category tractors, engines, transmissions, power reapers and precision components. With an eye on global opportunities, VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. has expanded its presence to more than 30 countries and established itself as a most preferred brand for compact tractors and tillers.

Their tractors are also being marketed under the “Fieldtrac” brand in various markets of the European Union meeting the latest EU standards. VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. has state of the art  manufacturing plants at Malur for power tillers, at Hosur for tractors and at Mysore for precision components. The products are backed with contemporary testing and their R&D facility meet stringent global standards.

Mr. Antony Cherukara, CEO of VST Tillers Tractors Ltd., said: “VST is committed to provide diversified farm mechanisation products and affordable solutions to the farming community. It is our constant endeavour to bring the best of global technologies and machines to the Southern African farmers.

We are happy to be associated with a distribution partner like ETGL for representing us in Southern Africa. Their deep customer understanding and focus on delivering the customer value  will further accelerate our growth plans in the continent.”

The compact tractors range offered for Southern Africa covers outputs from 13kW to 18kW while the power tillers are available with outputs ranging from 9kW to 12kW.A range of implements such as ploughs, harrows, ridgers, slashers, and front-end loaders are also available to use with these machines.

Fieldtrac tractors set a new standard for the way small tractors and implements work together. The world-class Fieldtrac 180D, 224D, 270D and 927compact tractors, packed with 13kW, 16kWand 18kW engines respectively (the 270D and 927 use the same engine), provide unmatched power and outstanding fuel economy. Best-in-class power, combined with ideal weight distribution, enables these tractors to transfer maximum power to the ground.

The 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) feature provides extra traction in order to pull through slippery spots or climb up an incline. These tractors are ideal for tilling, ploughing, puddling or even hydraulic booming, and can also be used with attachments like a front-end loader, back-hoe, grass cutter, baler, sprayer and trailer.

The target market for the VST compact tractors and power tillers include small scale and tunnel farmers while those farming with berries, vineyards, fruit orchards, vegetables and flowers will also find huge benefit in these machines. There are numerous studies pointing to the benefits of mechanisation for small-scale farmers and the VST range fulfils this role with aplomb.

Mr. Bray Hyland, Brand Head for VST in Southern Africa, said :“We have kept the consumer and the equipment’s application in mind. Consideration of these factors has ensured that we have selected the most relevant products that are best suited for the market. The tractors come with a 2-year or1500 hours warranty which itself speaks about the quality of the range.”
