Previously, you have mentioned that – A learning organization is an earning organization. How does this apply to the functioning of your company?

It has been over 29 years in the industry, but Hari Krishna Exports has transformed and remained competitive because of learning.

As part of HK Culture, we have learning classes in different foreign languages like English, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese etc, book reading sessions, sports, and other team building activities sessions, running daily on our premises.

We periodically organize guest faculty interactive sessions at HK to get insights and understanding on the latest technology and trends.

All these exercises extend the learning curve of the HK Family.

The HK Group has transcended from a small business firm to a billion-dollar company, thereby making its presence in the industry. What has been the biggest achievement for you as a managing director?

Yes, it has been an incredible journey so far. We started just as a diamond cutting and polishing company, today we are a billion-dollar mine-to-market brand, donning hats of the leading diamond manufacturers, exporters, and diamond jewellery manufacturers, exporters, and retailers.

If you see, four major mining companies in the world have control of 60–70% of the rough diamond trade. HK is associated with all four and buys straight from them, which means there is a consistent supply, and we can always keep up with the demand. That is the reason why we export our diamonds to almost 85 countries of the world.

Though launching Pan-India diamond jewellery retail brand KISNA and pioneering Fair and Fixed Price Policy are stepping stones, my biggest achievement as a managing director would always be 360-degree happiness and trust of the people – be it employees, clients, or community.

You have mastered all the processes of manufacturing, pricing, and customs duties in the diamond trade. How were you more interested in the idea of selling diamonds?

Yes, I mastered the nitty-gritty of diamond manufacturing and trading but was more enthused with the idea of selling diamonds. That endless wait for the deal, rejections, and dejections have always been promising to me.

So, I shifted to Mumbai, the El Dorado, to learn the art of business in the industry and pursued it further to realize our collective dream of four brothers – Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., where I took the responsibility of the management of finances and sales.

HK is a pioneer of the Fair and Fixed Price Policy. Can you tell us more about it?

Hari Krishna Exports came up with the idea of the Fair and Fixed Price Policy in 2007.

Consistency, Continuity, Cooperation, and Credibility are the 4Cs of our Fair and Fixed Price Policy.

I think through the traditional bargaining system of diamond selling, only a few hands can sell diamonds. While through Fair and Fixed Price Policy, multiple hands can sell diamonds.

This policy is a win-win situation for HK and its clients and brings harmony and trustworthiness between both parties.

Please tell us more about KISNA and its remarkable success.

KISNA Diamond Jewellery, in its own way, is an inseparable part of the heritage of many families in our great country.

Most rituals in our country are incomplete without a special souvenir, that article of Jewellery in the family that is exclusive beyond everything.

Through technical advancements and innovation, KISNA is an authentic traditional Indian jewellery brand that offers the largest variety of over 3000 unique jewellery designs to its customers that reach their hearts.

KISNA does business on advanced-paid and in return provides one-of-a-kind jewellery in unique designs to its customers, which makes it stay ahead in the Indian market.

KISNA takes pride in being regarded as a central entity for being the largest distributed brand of Diamond Jewellery in India. KISNA today has more than 3500 outlets across 400 cities across India.

My vision for the future of KISNA is making it Har Ghar KISNA, meaning reaching KISNA diamond jewellery in every house of India.
